Stage 2 Nuwakot - Dhading Besi

43km 100% ride- able 1359 Ascent 1739 Descent

Beginning at 500m it was another uphill grind for 12 steady km making our way up to 1264m. At this low altitude it made for a sweaty, hot climb and my eyes were stinging from sweat and sunscreen pouring in. I managed to keep Soonya in view for much longer today but by no means was I making any gains. My Nepali friend from yesterday was flying up the hills and left me in his dust. The terrain was relentless with numerous climbs and descents for the next 15km. There was always always another rider somewhat in view which helped me to set mini goals in catching them. We passed through many villages and children dressed in uniforms on their way to school. They all seem very intrigued by the bikers and sometimes ambush you with water balloons or luckily for me it was flower petals. The descents were very bumpy but harder packed then the previous sand. You must pay continuous attention in picking lines as there's many ruts and mini gaps that could easily suck you in and send you flying. Most people are on hard tails but I've been happy to be on full suspension. Even so my arms and triceps are taking a beating and my lower back is starting to feel the effect of continuous climbing. We finished on a descent to a bustling town Dhading Besi. My appetite was raging and a big plate of Dhal Baht and chow main was quickly scarfed down. 2:47 16th stage 2 16th overall.
