Wrapping up Montana
We have finished up our Montana tour ending in Bozeman, Big Sky. It's been an awsome time checking out the various riding and the uniqueness and friendliness that Montana offers. Our last few days we we're taken out to Brittany's (local rider from Bozeman ) land where her and others had build an impressive jump park. The area alone was an impressive sight with rolling landscape, river and this whole outback Montana feel to it. We spent one day at Big sky resort which we defiantly could have done more. Fast, steep and lots to offer and challenge yourself on there. Bozeman is my most favorite place on this trip. It's very outdoorsy yet has a fun, funky vibe to the city core. After saying good bye to the crew Jeremy and I stayed back for a few extra days and road some of the best ridge riding and backcountry trails we've been on. It's been a pleasure meeting and riding with Cory & Karen from Squamish on this trip. We hope to see you guys back in Squamish next spring. And it's been a blast with Camera man Josh and all the friendly Montana hosts and people who truly gave us the Royal treatment on this trip. Thanks! We are heading back to Calgary to figure out our next game plan. We have an idea in the works but we change our minds quite quickly so we'll see.

Hip & Happening Missoula Montana
A short 2 hour drive we arrived in Missoula last night. What a happening, active city. Being a university city we have found this place to be hoppin at all hours and young people out hanging about on the streets. I'm trying to figure out the style here not sure what to call it but pretty funky, hippyish so far. We we're treated to a local pub for dinner then found ourselves at Charie B's bar shooting back some good old Whisky and beer. Today we checked out the farmers market and then made our way to Pedal Fest which is an annual bike fest with a small ramp area set up for riders, beer garden's and live music. To kick it off they started with a cruiser parade which we joined in with our last min. feather boa's. Cory even went as far as wearing Karen's bikini in it. The weather is great and hot here. Us girls spent part of the afternoon running up to the big M up on a hill overlooking the city while the boy's shot the fest and drank beer. There's a uni football game on today and wow they really do it up here with their tail gate party's and amount of fans. We are off to Butte tomorrow but will get some trail shots done in the morning here.

Ride Guides in Montana
We are 3 days into our 11 day trip down in Montana filming for OLN tv show Ride Guides. We have been here in Whitefish checking out Big Mnt Resort and some local Freeride trails along with their new 50mile cross country trial which will soon be open to the public this fall. Jeremy and I are joined with another couple Cory and Karen from Squamish for a so called couple's episode in Montana. It's been a lot of fun so far riding, dinning and meeting the local bike guru's who are totally into promoting their bike trails and beautiful area. We have enjoyed whitefish dinning scene and even checked out the Saloon last night after our awsome sushi dinner. We're headed off to Masoula today for some more action.

Sun's back in Whistler
We had 2 awsome days of riding at Whistler mountain. After hanging around a wet tent for 4 days we decided to splurge and checked ourselves into a comfy suite for 2 nights in Whistler. We bumped into one of Jer's riding buddies from Canmore, Leif so the 3 of us spent the day on the hill. There is a lot of Jumps and air time in Whistler. Took a bit of getting use to but by the 2nd day we were loving it and wanting more. We then headed back to Pemberton and stayed with Jer's friend Dave and Tessa for the night and the next morning we did a shorter ride in the dusty, techy, Pemby, trails. We headed to Squamish for the next 2 nights and stayed with Cousin Ron & Pip and Oben & Fin. It was great to spend some time with them and the kids and Aunt Suilia was down from New Zealand. Oben is a real cuttie these days we had fun playing with him. They live right by some great trials so we had an big day checking out the trails with Adam who works at the bike shop in town. I really am being sold on moving out that way for at least the riding season. There is endless amount of riding and it's really some of the best I've ridden. I would definitely like to be on a bigger bike then the one I have. We we had to cut our Squamish trip short as we are headed to Montana with Ride Guides T.V. show. We had a last minute invite for the both of us and another couple to do a couple's episode show casing Montana Riding for 11 days. We'll keep you posted.

Rain Rain... Ok a lot of Rain!
Well after a big bill on the truck and a week in Revy we were off again and back to Silver Star Vernon. We wanted to get another day in at the hill before we hit the coast. About our second ride in Jer lost the bolt to pedal crank and had to ride down on one pedal. We were lucky that the bike shop had one that fit so we were back in action. So back up we went. This next run down Jeremy blew out the seal on his front fork and this time we weren't as lucky to find the right replacements so about 1:00 we hit the road to Squamish. We pulled into camp latter at night to rain rain and more rain. We got out for a wet ride but soon realized how hard wet tree roots in squamish were to ride. We've been riding out this weather for nearly 5 days now. We went and stayed with some friends in Pemberton for the night and visited some awsome hot springs. We checked out a small hike to Joffre lakes and went to an inspiring slide show of a young adventure, action photographer in Whistler. Looks like sunshine should be here tomorrow so we'll hit up the hill for a couple days and then who knows. Hope every one's enjoying the sunshine back home.

Truck Broke Down.... Already????
Well sunday we were doing some biking and shuttling and the truck went ka-put. So it's currently in the shop getting a new radiator and we're just chilling in Revy. Not a bad place to be. We're staying with some more friends who have a B&B and well it's not being used at the moment so we have a pretty nice suite to ourselves. Jer and I checked out some of the cross country bike trails yesterday but I broke a spoke so it was cut short. We did how ever get out climbing in the afternoon. It's totally been a while. I was getting spanked on the routes, much different movements then riding a bike! We should hear more about our truck today so hopefully head out tomorrow back to Vernon or else straight to the coast. I think rain is in store for the next little bit. Here's some pic's from Golden and Revy biking.

Bike Bike Bike
After 3 days of packing up and finding a home for all of our junk we finially were on the road. We spent 2 days riding at Kicking horse resort in Golden. We had the place to our selves. It was great to be on the down hill ride. We met up with an Aussie fellow at the campsite so the 3 of us checked out some of the more cross country trails around there. Canyon creek trail is pretty amazing. I'll send some pic's latter. Our night of our wedding anniversery was alittle creepy. We thought that it was going to be great having a quite camp ground but there was some tottal creep camping beside us who just got creepy'er as the night when on. We never saw him only heard him and I really think there was some screws loose. All I can say was come 11:30 there was no way we were going to fall asleep next to that so it was a quick pack up and we were out of there. We found a different spot somewhere in the bush. Ahhh the joys of living on the road. Well we are out in Revelstoke hanging with Mer & Dan. We had an awsome day out in Vernon at silver star with them riding. I'm left with a huge bruse on my ass from there though. We'll be out here for a few more days. We'll keep ya posted.

Some much needed Lake Life Time

We have almost come to the end of our time in Kenora. It's been a bit rainy but we have had some steller days which we took advatage of. We did some fishing. I think this was the most fish I've ever caught. 3 I think. Wahooo. Me and the 3 Dean'er brothers set off on a 2 day Kayak trip from Kenora to Miniaki! Was Awsome!!! Long days in the boat but enjoyed every bit of the beauty here! There was some wake boarding and waterskiing. I tried slalom skiing for the first time. Couldn't master the whole dropping ski thing so I was determined to try getting up on one ski from the water. After a few trys and plenty of mouth fulls of water I was up. Now if only I can clear the wake on the wake board!
It's official, I'm now a blogger
Well here we go again. After packing up all our things in Canmore and putting it into storage for a year we are off on another adventure.
It's been an awsome summer already with lots of racing and adventures. Highlights being; competing in my first expedition length adventure race in Crowsness pass ( Best of the West by J2adventures) placed 2nd. First place win at the Fullmoon in June 36hr Adventure race on team Cafe Express in Panorama BC. Race the Rockies 18hr adventure race with Cafe Express placing 1st out in Golden BC. One of the last weeks in Canmore I was fortunate to have the opportunity to ride and be filmed in the TV show Ride Guides which was show casing the great trails of the Bow Valley. We spent a week riding around Canmore, Banff and Lake Louise riding some great cross country, scenic all mountain and rippin downhill trails of the area. Not to mention part of the gig was sampling the cuisine of the bow valley. Yummm. We finished off the week of filming of the World's Solo 24 Hours of Adrenaline which I was racing in again this year in the elite women's field. It was an awsome race, things fell into place. With the incredible help and support from my pit crew, friends & family I finished in 3rd and took top stop in the Canadian's. Yahooo! I was defiantly happy to be on the podium this year as last year I placed 4th. It was now time for some much needed relaxation and lake life so our first stop was out to Kenora Ont. To stay and visit with Jeremy's family and hopefully soak up some sun and catch some fish?
